Responsibilities

  • Administer radiation?therapy treatments according to oncologist prescriptions and treatment plans.
  • Operate and maintain linear accelerators and other radiation?therapy equipment.
  • Educate and prepare patients for treatment procedures, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning and immobilization to achieve precise dose delivery.
  • Monitor patients during treatment, reporting and documenting any adverse reactions.
  • Adhere to strict radiation?safety protocols and perform routine quality?assurance checks.
  • Maintain detailed treatment records in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Adapt quickly to different facility workflows and contribute positively to each healthcare team.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or closely related field.
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required (state licensure where applicable).
  • Minimum 1?2 years of experience delivering therapeutic radiation treatments.
  • Strong technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent patient?communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high?pressure clinical situations.
  • Willingness and ability to accept travel assignments across multiple facilities.
