Job Title: Full Stack Developer (Java / AWS / Angular / Kafka) L2

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Primary) / Westlake, TX (Secondary) Hybrid (Onsite every other week)

Duration: Contract

Interview Process: 1 Round (In-person preferred)

Job Overview: We are looking for a Mid to Junior Full Stack Developer (L2) with 2 3 years of experience to join a high-impact team working on API modernization and event-driven architecture. This role involves transitioning legacy SOAP services to modern REST APIs and building scalable microservices platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain full stack applications using Java, Angular, and AWS
• Work on API modernization (SOAP to REST) initiatives
• Build and integrate event-driven systems using Kafka
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for client onboarding and project delivery
• Contribute to backend services supporting event processing and downstream integrations
• Participate in deployment processes using OpenKyber, GitHub, and AWS
• Ensure code quality through unit testing and automation

Required Skills:

• 2 3 years of experience in Java development
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Strong knowledge of Angular (UI development)
• Experience with Kafka (event streaming)
• Understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD practices

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Node.js / Python
• Experience with Docker, EKS, or serverless architecture
• Knowledge of DynamoDB / RDS

Team & Project Details:

• Working on API modernization project (SOAP REST)
• Building microservices-based platform for life event processing
• Team manages own deployments using OpenKyber & AWS
• Agile Scrum team (6 8 members)

Additional Notes: Salt Lake City candidates preferred Must be comfortable with onsite presence every alternate week Looking to submit top 2 strong candidates only
