We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Kitchen Expeditor to act as the critical link between the kitchen and front-of-house teams during service. This role ensures that dishes are prepared, plated, and delivered with accuracy, quality, and timing.
The ideal candidate thrives in a high-energy environment, has strong communication skills, and understands the importance of maintaining organization and flow during service. As the expeditor, you will help maintain quality control, ensure dishes leave the kitchen at the correct time, and support both the culinary and service teams in delivering a seamless dining experience.
Key Responsibilities• Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the service team
• Ensure dishes are plated correctly and meet presentation standards before leaving the kitchen
• Communicate clearly with chefs, cooks, and front-of-house staff regarding timing and order accuracy
• Organize tickets and monitor order progression to maintain proper pacing during service
• Maintain strong awareness of menu items and ingredients to assist with order accuracy
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the expo area
• Support the kitchen team during peak service periods to maintain efficiency
• Help ensure guests receive their meals in a timely and consistent manner
• Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen or expeditor role preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both kitchen and service teams
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of restaurant service flow and kitchen operations
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work evening and weekend shifts
