Position Overview

The Client Relationship Advisor I is an integral part of the Client Services team within HdL Texas. Reporting to the Client Relations Manager or Supervisor, this role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with municipal clients. The Advisor supports client meetings, executes procedural tasks, and contributes to the delivery of high-quality service aligned with HdL’s mission.


Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure Client Satisfaction
    • Attend client meetings and maintain regular communication with assigned clients.
    • Assist in resolving client inquiries and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding issues.
    • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and service activities.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met effectively.

  • Procedural Task Execution
    • Execute assigned procedural tasks related to Client Services and Sales Tax support.
    • Manage specific client service processes under supervision.
    • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and quality standards.
    • Support documentation and reporting requirements for assigned tasks.

  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with team members to support shared goals and service standards.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.
    • Provide support to peers and assist with special projects as assigned.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and development.

  • Subject Matter Expertise
    • Apply foundational knowledge of Client Services and sales tax.
    • Develop secondary subject matters to support broader team initiatives.
    • Engage in training opportunities to build expertise and service capabilities.
    • Apply knowledge to enhance client service delivery and team performance.
  • Contribute to other company initiatives as needed


Skills and Qualifications

  • Basic subject matter knowledge in Client Services is required.
  • Introductory understanding of secondary subject matters is expected.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage procedural tasks independently and with accuracy.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years experience in client service or local government roles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with sales tax and local government operations is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.


Compensation

The starting base salary for this Austin or Houston, Texas position is expected to be between $71,513.30 to $76,879.80 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
